First and foremost I would like to state that I am not anti-police.  I believe that there are good cops our there and that it is still a noble profession for those who seriously seek to make a difference and protect.  However, many officers in this Nation use their positions for personal gain through unlawful means and have abused the trust of the people that they have sworn to protect.  This issue affects any citizen who expects the police to do their job professionally.  In the modern age of mass media and youtube.com, police misconduct and brutality is much more documented and I believe it causes more people to be fearful of the police and they have good reason to be.  The purpose of my blog is to give history, updates on the issue, and ways people can be heard if such misconduct of brutality happens to them. I want to raise awareness of the issue and hopefully make some helpful suggestions of how to fight it if it should happen to you or a loved one.
